At approximately 2:15 a.m. on Saturday, deputies from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office conducted a routine cell check in the 5-East 300 Pod. During the inspection, they observed an inmate who appeared unresponsive. Acting swiftly, they promptly notified first-aid and medical personnel. Despite their efforts, the inmate was pronounced deceased at the jail. The deceased had been in custody since April 20, 2022.
