Emma Jones, a beloved grandmother residing in Linden, New Jersey, was initially slated to play the role of flower girl at her grandson’s wedding. However, unforeseen circumstances led to her hospitalization, leaving her unable to attend the event.

George Jones and Esumi Fujimoto, the bride and groom, decided to bring the wedding to Emma’s bedside at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Rahway. Despite Emma’s absence due to a hip injury, the couple exchanged vows in a touching ceremony organized by the hospital’s Patient Experience Department and Nursing Director, Christine Meo, RN.
