Instead, conditions are anticipated to clear up by 2 p.m., allowing sunshine to break through the clouds in the late afternoon, promising a pleasant evening ahead.
Severe Weather Risk Remains Isolated
Severe threat primarily to the northeast, marginal risk for southeast Texas.
According to the Storm Prediction Center, the severe weather threat for the Houston area remains isolated, with the highest likelihood of strong storms developing to the northeast. While portions of southeast Texas are under a Marginal Risk for severe weather, the increased threat is expected to remain to the east of Houston. However, isolated storms may still impact the area.
