Houston police have apprehended two teenagers in connection with the tragic shooting of a mother in front of her children last month. Leashtian Blanks, 17, faces murder charges, while a 16-year-old suspect, whose identity remains undisclosed due to legal reasons, has been referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities also on a murder charge.
The Incident
The victim, 37-year-old Isha Goff, was fatally shot on February 23 in the 3100 block of Elmside Drive in Houston. According to authorities, Goff was in her vehicle with her two sons, aged 13 and 3, when two individuals approached and opened fire. While Goff succumbed to her injuries, thankfully, her children escaped unharmed.
Arrests Made
Following an intensive investigation, law enforcement officials identified Blanks and the unnamed juvenile as the prime suspects in the case. Both suspects were apprehended on Tuesday, bringing some measure of closure to the grieving family and the community at large.
