A man was hospitalized in serious condition after being shot by a deputy in northwest Harris County, as confirmed by officials. The incident took place in the 13600 block of Braydon Bend Drive, near Jackrabbit Road and West Road.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez stated that deputies were initially dispatched to a weapons disturbance involving a male attempting to break into a neighbor’s house or firing shots at the residence.
Confrontation Leads to Shooting
During the altercation, the 61-year-old male suspect, reportedly armed with a knife, allegedly charged toward a deputy, prompting the officer to discharge his weapon, striking the suspect. The injured individual was airlifted to the hospital via Life Flight and remains in serious condition. Fortunately, the deputy involved in the incident did not sustain any injuries.
