O’Shea, a dedicated engineer with JFRD for two decades, tragically passed away after experiencing a medical emergency on Friday night.

Heath J. O’Shea, a devoted husband and father at 44 years old, leaves behind a legacy of service and commitment. His untimely passing has deeply affected not only his family but also his colleagues and the wider Jacksonville community.
Jacksonville Firefighters Association Kelly Dobson expressed the profound impact of O’Shea’s passing, stating, “[He] has, you know, a family and kids that are affected by something like this.” The loss of O’Shea reverberates throughout the department, marking a somber day for JFRD members.

In the wake of this tragedy, community leaders have extended their condolences to O’Shea’s family and colleagues.
