EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The 6th annual Walk for Wishes El Paso by Make-A-Wish is set to take place at the end of this month, offering an opportunity for the community to come together in support of children facing critical illnesses.
Event Details
The event is scheduled for April 28th at the Shoppes at Solana, situated at 750 Sunland Park Drive in west El Paso. Participants can choose between the 5K and 10K races, with the race set to kick off at 8:30 a.m.

Walk for Wishes is not just a race; it’s an annual family-friendly gathering that embodies the spirit of unity and compassion. Powered by El Paso wish families, volunteers, sponsors, donors, and community members, the event serves as a testament to the community’s dedication to making dreams come true.
Making Dreams a Reality
The event celebrates the fulfillment of local wishes that have already been granted, while also rallying support and raising funds for more than 80 El Paso children who are eagerly awaiting their wishes to be granted. Make-A-Wish’s mission is to bring joy and hope to these children by fulfilling their life-changing wishes.
Registration and Donation
Participation in the event costs $35 for the 5K and $25 for the one-mile option. It’s worth noting that prices will increase after April 21st. To register for the race or to make a donation to support Make-A-Wish’s cause, interested individuals can visit the Make-A-Wish website.
