Officers from LMPD’s Sixth Division responded to the 1900 block of Wesley Ave after receiving a report of a stolen vehicle. The location is situated near the intersection of Taylorsville Road and Hurstbourne Parkway.

During the investigation, it was determined that the victim sustained injuries while their vehicle was being stolen and was subsequently transported to University Hospital for treatment. Fortunately, the injuries were reported as non-life-threatening.

On Wednesday afternoon, an elderly resident of Hurstbourne Acres was subjected to a home invasion, where she was raped and robbed after answering a knock at her front door around 2:30 p.m. The suspect in that case is described as a thin, 5-foot-10-inch Black man with short black hair, last seen wearing a black shirt and either jeans or blue pants. The LMPD sex crimes unit is actively investigating this case.
