The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office disclosed that the mass shooting in King City and the double homicide near Soledad are intertwined. On February 4, two cousins fell victim to gun violence along Los Coches Road just outside Soledad, while on March 3, tragedy struck again as 11 individuals were shot at a birthday celebration in the 200 block of Second Street in King City, resulting in four fatalities and seven injuries.
Investigative Efforts Unveiled
Law enforcement efforts have been intensified, with over 50 search warrants executed by deputies from the Sheriff’s Office and the King City police. Recently, additional search warrants were executed in the 200 block of Sixth Street and the 3000 block of 11th Street in Greenfield.
