Virginia Beach, Va. – The winners of the 14th annual East Coast She-Crab Soup Classic have been crowned, delighting attendees and locals alike with their culinary creations.
The Event
Held on Saturday, April 20, the event drew in approximately 900 attendees eager to sample offerings from ten renowned restaurants spanning Hampton Roads. The sold-out crowd enthusiastically participated in voting for their favorites, contributing to the lively atmosphere of the occasion.
People’s Choice Awards
The Sean Brickell People’s Choice Awards, determined by popular vote, showcased the preferences of attendees. The top three winners in this category were:
- Tempt Restaurant and Lounge: Securing the coveted first place, Tempt Restaurant and Lounge impressed with its take on she-crab soup.
- Scotty Quixx East: Earning second place, Scotty Quixx East demonstrated its culinary prowess.
- Yiannis Wine and Food: Claiming third place, Yiannis Wine and Food impressed the crowds with its flavorful offering.
Critics Choice Awards
In addition to the People’s Choice Awards, expert judges were present to bestow the Critics Choice Awards. Their selections for the top three restaurants were:
- Yiannis Wine and Food: Garnering first place in the critics’ eyes, Yiannis Wine and Food proved its mastery of the she-crab soup.
- Entre Nous: Taking second place, Entre Nous showcased its culinary excellence.
- Scotty Quixx East: Securing third place, Scotty Quixx East demonstrated consistent quality in its soup.

Notable past winners include CP Shuckers Oceanfront, which claimed first place in the Critics’ Choice Award last year. Entre Nous Virginia Beach also made a mark, clinching first place in the Sean Brickell Peoples’ Choice Award in a previous edition of the event.
