Country Star Faces Charges for Rooftop Incident
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Morgan Wallen, the renowned country music artist, is slated to make an appearance at his next court date in August following an incident at Chief’s bar last month.
The singer-songwriter, known for hits like “Sand in My Boots,” faces charges of felony reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct after allegedly throwing a chair from the rooftop of Chief’s bar. The chair reportedly landed dangerously close to Metro Police officers who were present at the scene.
Waiver of Appearance at Recent Hearing
Despite not being required to attend his recent hearing on May 3, Wallen’s attorney, Worrick Robinson, confirmed that the court formally waived Wallen’s appearance. Robinson stated, The Office of the District Attorney has been notified of the Appearance Waiver.
Wallen’s Response and Future Hearing
Addressing the incident, Wallen expressed remorse, stating that he is not proud of his behavior. He is expected to make his next court appearance on August 15 to address the charges against him.
Busy Schedule Amid Legal Proceedings
In the midst of the legal proceedings, Wallen continues to maintain a busy schedule. He is currently performing three concerts at Nissan Stadium as part of his One Night at a Time tour. Additionally, despite the controversy, Wallen received six nominations for the ACM Awards in the same week as his arrest.
