BARTLESVILLE, Okla. — The communities of Barnsdall and Bartlesville, Oklahoma, are coming together to honor their graduating seniors amidst the aftermath of the May 6 storms that struck the region.
Honoring Graduates Amidst Devastation
Despite the challenges posed by the recent storms, Barnsdall Public Schools is determined to recognize the achievements of its graduating seniors. Although traditional classes have been disrupted, the school remains committed to celebrating the Class of 2024.
Venue Changes for Commencement Ceremonies
In light of the circumstances, Barnsdall Public Schools has relocated its high school commencement ceremony to the Bartlesville Community Center. The ceremony is scheduled for Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. On the same evening, Bartlesville High School will hold its commencement ceremony at Custer Stadium, commencing at 7:00 p.m.
Community Support Fuels Recovery Efforts
The towns affected by the devastating EF4 tornado have received overwhelming support from their communities. Organizations such as The Salvation Army and American Red Cross have been actively engaged in providing assistance to those impacted by the storms.
