WICHITA, Kan. – Meteorologist Jake Dunne reports warmer-than-usual morning temperatures across Kansas, with readings in the 60s and 70s. Expect highs in the middle to upper 80s later today, surpassing average temperatures by five to ten degrees.
Cold Front Approaching Kansas
A cold front is set to sweep across Kansas, bringing gusty winds shifting from the south to the northwest. However, any potential storms are forecasted to form east of the Flint Hills and move rapidly away from the viewing area.
Cooler Weather Ahead
Behind the front, a cooler air mass will settle in, leading to temperatures a few degrees below normal on Wednesday. Lower humidity levels and sunny skies promise a delightful spring day for the entirety of Kansas.

Our next weather system is expected to arrive on Thursday, mostly affecting Oklahoma and Texas. While scattered showers and storms may occur over south-central and southeast Kansas, the likelihood of rain and severe weather remains low.
