Co-Defendant’s Trial Pending
Alan Tronco was not alone in facing charges related to the incident. Rushawn Williams, also from Milwaukee, was charged alongside Tronco. Williams is scheduled for a jury trial in August, further unfolding the legal proceedings surrounding the case.
Incident Details
The drive-by shooting unfolded as shots were fired from the defendants’ vehicle while traversing a neighborhood. Law enforcement discovered at least 10 bullets in the vicinity, with one bullet causing a minor injury by grazing another driver’s leg.
The genesis of the altercation traces back to a house party on Wisteria Lane in Waukesha. An argument ensued between Tronco and another individual, escalating beyond verbal confrontation to physical altercation outside the apartment building. Subsequently, Tronco purportedly pursued the other individual while armed, leading to the gunfire exchange.
Court Commissioner David Herring highlighted Tronco’s alleged response to the confrontation, citing the retrieval of a firearm from the glove compartment before engaging in the shooting.
Police Intervention and Apprehension
Following the incident, Waukesha police swiftly intervened, leading to the eventual arrest of both Tronco and Williams. Law enforcement apprehended the defendants while they were driving in Fond du Lac, closing the chapter on the immediate aftermath of the drive-by shooting.
As legal proceedings continue and the community grapples with the aftermath, the case underscores the multifaceted challenges surrounding gun violence and its repercussions within localities.
