EL PASO, Texas — Ramon Parada, a 36-year-old resident of Socorro, has been arrested and charged with intoxicated manslaughter following a tragic incident on Sunday afternoon. The crash resulted in the death of his passenger, 25-year-old Rey Mendez, also from Socorro. The El Paso Police Department (EPPD) announced Parada’s arrest on Monday, shedding light on the grim details of the accident.

The fatal crash occurred near the intersection of Cesar Chavez Highway and South Zaragoza Road, just before 1 p.m. on Sunday.
