Investigators in Hollywood, Florida are diligently working to unravel the circumstances behind the tragic deaths of a mother and her young daughter following a shooting incident late Friday night on Florida’s Turnpike.

The Broward County Sheriff’s Office reported that Beatrice Saintvil was driving north on the Turnpike, just south of Hollywood Boulevard, when her vehicle was targeted by gunfire. Both Saintvil and her 4-year-old daughter, Janelle, were struck by bullets. The incident occurred around 11:50 p.m. on June 7, 2021.
Emergency Response
After the shooting, Saintvil managed to call 911, but initially described the incident as an accident. Hollywood Fire Rescue responded to the scene, transporting Saintvil to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. Tragically, Janelle was pronounced dead at the scene.
