This event, organized by Broader Urban Involvement & Leadership Development (BUILD), not only facilitates networking but also fosters a sense of empowerment and inspiration among the participants.

At the heart of the “BUILD the Black Table” event lies the goal of breaking down obstacles and making dreams attainable for young individuals like 14-year-old Dion Stamps. Despite facing challenges, Stamps finds inspiration in his mentor’s resilience, reflecting the ethos of perseverance and determination instilled through mentorship programs at BUILD. His aspirations of becoming a professional basketball player are not just dreams but tangible goals nurtured by the supportive environment of the event.

For students like Faith Vaccaro, the event serves as a catalyst for ambition and growth. Vaccaro’s dream of attending culinary school is not limited by traditional boundaries; instead, she envisions a future with 20 restaurants under her name. This expansion of dreams, fueled by exposure to successful professionals, exemplifies the transformative impact of mentorship and networking opportunities provided by BUILD.
