Houston, TX — Aldine ISD is set to introduce a pioneering program in collaboration with Memorial Hermann, aimed at preparing high school students for careers in the medical sector. The initiative, titled the “HEAL” program, is slated to commence operations at Nimitz 9th Grade School during the 2024-2025 academic year.

Adrian Bustillos, the chief transformation officer at Aldine ISD, disclosed that the program will kick off with ninth-grade students, enrolling approximately 190 individuals across five high-demand pathways. These pathways encompass physical therapy, nursing, pharmacy, clinical administration, and imaging, providing students with diverse avenues into the medical field.
