On February 13, 2024, Ricardo Oliveros was driving his red Ford pickup truck in the 2200 block of Remynse and Beth Lane when the fatal encounter occurred. According to Arlington police detective Krystallyne Robinson, Oliveros stopped at the corner, where he was approached by the assailant.
Robinson provided insight into the sequence of events, stating, He’s driving northbound on Remynse. You can see an individual also walking northbound on Remynse. The suspect then approaches toward the vehicle. The next thing that you can see is that the suspect discharges a firearm towards the victim and the suspect continues northbound on Remynse.

Despite the existence of video footage capturing the incident, authorities have encountered challenges in identifying the perpetrator. However, additional footage from a nearby gas station offers a clearer view, providing hope for a breakthrough in the investigation.
