Around 6 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office responded to an armed robbery at a business in Mesa. The suspects, a man, and a woman, utilized a stolen golf cart as their getaway vehicle. The male suspect, armed with an “AR style rifle,” fired multiple rounds into the targeted business. The suspects fled before law enforcement could reach the scene.

Stolen Golf Cart and Pursuit

Deputies were able to locate the stolen golf cart near 105th Place and University Drive. Subsequent investigation confirmed the vehicle’s stolen status. A separate “unknown trouble call for service” was received from Crismon Road and University Drive, involving the male suspect who had fled from the golf cart.

Attempted Home Invasion and Police Response

The male suspect, involved in an attempted home invasion, fired multiple rounds at a residence. Officers from the Mesa Police Department and deputies from the Sheriff’s Office responded swiftly to the scene. The suspect fled on foot, attempting to evade law enforcement.
