Portland, Ore. – The Portland Police Bureau has announced the arrest of a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in downtown Portland back in March.

The shooting incident took place on March 17th, around 11:45 p.m., in the 800 block of Southwest 10th Avenue. Aaron K. Beasley, 33, was discovered injured at the scene and was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Suspect Apprehended

According to authorities, US Marshals apprehended Alexander J. Lewis, 33, on Tuesday in Gresham in relation to Beasley’s death. Lewis faces charges of second-degree murder, unlawful use of a firearm, and being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was booked into the Multnomah County Jail following his arrest.
