LOS ANGELES – A woman suspected of hurling bricks at vehicles in multiple Southern California neighborhoods, causing significant damage, has been apprehended by authorities.
Suspect Identified and Apprehended
The Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed the arrest of 30-year-old Lisa Jones, the alleged perpetrator behind a string of vandalism incidents spanning various locations including Los Angeles, Culver City, Burbank, and Santa Monica.
Caught on Camera
Video footage shared on the Citizen app captured Jones in the act, brandishing a brick as she approached parked vehicles. In the footage, she is seen throwing the brick at the windshield before swiftly retreating to her vehicle and driving away.
String of Incidents
Reports from local law enforcement agencies, including Burbank PD and LAPD, corroborate incidents involving Jones targeting random vehicles by hurling bricks at their windshields before fleeing the scene.
Multiple Victims Speak Out
Numerous individuals have come forward as victims of Jones’ destructive spree, detailing incidents in various neighborhoods such as Venice, Mid-Wilshire, Woodland Hills, and Northeast Los Angeles. However, it remains unclear whether Jones had any prior connection to the vehicle owners.
Legal Action Taken
Jones was apprehended on Wednesday and has since been charged with felony vandalism. She is currently being held without bail pending further legal proceedings.
