Shortly after the initial incident, around 9:13 a.m., another stabbing was reported on North Patterson Avenue. Responding officers found a 26-year-old man from Kernersville with a non-life-threatening stab wound. The victim reported being attacked by an assailant who fled in a Chevrolet Tahoe.

Arrests Made

Two individuals, identified as Jeffrey Hugo Silva, 30, and Oscar Daniel Noyola-Lopez, 27, both of Winston-Salem, were apprehended in connection with the stabbings.

Noyola-Lopez faces charges of felony assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill/inflict serious injury and misdemeanor going armed to the terror of the public. Following Wiley’s death, Noyola-Lopez was additionally charged with felony murder.

Silva has been charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill/inflict serious injury and felony accessory after the fact.

Both individuals have been denied bond.
