Las Vegas, Nev. – After serving as the chief operating officer (COO) for the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix, Betsy Fretwell has announced her departure from the prestigious racing event.
A Seasoned Leader’s Departure
Fretwell assumed the role of COO on January 9 of this year, bringing with her over three decades of experience in leadership positions spanning both the public and private sectors. Notably, she served in various capacities in the Las Vegas metropolitan area for 27 years, including a noteworthy nine-year tenure as the City Manager of Las Vegas. In this role, Fretwell oversaw a workforce of more than 3,300 employees and managed an annual budget of $1.3 billion.
Contributing to the Las Vegas Grand Prix
During her tenure as COO of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Fretwell played a pivotal role in shaping the trajectory of the event. She spearheaded the development of comprehensive plans for this year’s race, facilitated transparent communication channels with regulatory bodies, and cultivated vital relationships within the local community.
Transitioning Back to Consulting
With the groundwork laid for the upcoming race and organizational objectives met, Fretwell has decided to return to her prior management consulting practice with C4ward Strategies. Expressing confidence in the event’s continued success, she affirmed her belief in leaving the Las Vegas Grand Prix in a strengthened position.
