We Are Blood, in collaboration with Austin-Travis County EMS and Williamson County EMS, calls on the community to strengthen the blood supply ahead of the total solar eclipse on April 8.

The organization foresees potential heightened blood transfusion needs and travel challenges for first responders and Central Texas hospitals amidst the historic eclipse.

Traffic Preparation
TxDOT prepares for increased traffic during April’s total solar eclipse, highlighting the significance of the event. During the 2017 eclipse, traffic surged in impacted areas, returning to normal levels after two to three days.
