Mexican authorities have confirmed the discovery of the bodies of three missing surfers, including one American and two Australian brothers, in La Bocana, approximately 130 miles south of San Diego.

The Baja California Attorney General’s Office confirmed on Friday morning that the bodies were located in La Bocana, marking a tragic end to the search efforts.
Missing Surfers and Their Disappearance
The missing surfers were identified as Jack Carter Rhoad from San Diego and Australian brothers Jake and Callum Robinson. According to reports from The San Diego Union-Tribune, the three men failed to check into their Airbnb in Rosarito after a surfing trip south of Ensenada.
Investigation and Evidence Found
Mexican officials revealed on Thursday that they had discovered evidence linked to the case, including a white pickup truck. Additionally, three Mexican nationals are currently under investigation in connection with the incident.
Coordination in Investigation
Authorities from the Baja California Attorney General’s Office, the FBI, and officials from the U.S. and Australian consulates are all collaborating in the investigation, according to statements from Mexican officials.
Ongoing Investigation
As of now, no further details regarding the circumstances leading up to the surfers’ disappearance have been disclosed. The attorney general’s office has refrained from confirming the identities of the deceased individuals to Nexstar, pending further investigation.
