The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) is ramping up efforts to enhance rail service, aiming to restore pre-pandemic levels and address longstanding complaints about insufficient L service.
Dynamic Schedule Implementation
CTA has announced the implementation of a dynamic schedule starting this Sunday, designed to immediately introduce more trains while allowing for further additions as new operators are trained in the coming months.
An agency spokesperson highlighted that the precise number of trains to be added to the schedule is not immediately available. However, CTA plans to augment its workforce by training up to 67 new rail operators throughout the spring and summer.
