The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has announced upcoming lane closures on Interstate 25 (I-25) and South Academy Boulevard in Colorado Springs, affecting travel starting Sunday, May 19.
Interstate-25 Safety and Efficiency Improvements
Southbound Lane Closures
- On May 19, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on May 20, a section of southbound I-25 between Mesa Ridge Parkway and mile 133 will be closed.
- Another closure is scheduled from 7 p.m. on May 20 to 6 a.m. on May 21, between mileposts 129 and 131.
- A contingency closure may occur on May 21 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on May 22, between MP 129 and 131.
Northbound Lane Closure
- A northbound left lane closure is planned on May 20 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day, for shoulder paving at MP 132.
South Academy Boulevard Widening Project
Bradley Road Lane Reduction
- Bradley Road under the South Academy bridge will operate with one lane of alternating traffic from May 20 to May 23, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Lane Shifts and Closures
- A minor lane shift is ongoing on the southbound South Academy Boulevard off-ramp to US 85/87 until May 23.
- A temporary on-ramp will be set up for northbound South Academy Blvd with reduced speeds of 30 mph until Fall, for construction work.
