WEST ALLIS, Wis. – A crash led to significant backups on I-41/I-894 northbound, just south of the Zoo Interchange on Saturday morning, June 8.

According to 511, the ramp to I-94 was closed at Greenfield Ave shortly after 6 a.m., exacerbating traffic congestion in the area. Department of Transportation (DOT) cameras captured the backups extending all the way to Lincoln Ave.
Police Intervention and Road Blockage
Shortly before 8 a.m., authorities took action to alleviate the traffic situation by blocking the on-ramp from Lincoln Ave.
Investigation Ongoing
FOX6 reached out to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office for further details on the incident but has not received a response yet. However, the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner was dispatched to the scene, indicating the severity of the crash.
Return to Normalcy
By 9:15 a.m., the crash site was cleared, and traffic flow resumed its usual pace along I-41/I-894 northbound.
