Four men were injured, two critically, in two separate double shootings that shook Philadelphia over the weekend.
South Philadelphia Shooting
The first shooting occurred on Friday afternoon, around 3:30, on the 1400 block of South Vodges Street. A 29-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his back and was rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in extremely critical condition. Another man, aged 58, was shot in the leg but is reported to be in stable condition.
North Philadelphia Incident
Early Saturday morning, around 2:30, another shooting incident unfolded in North Philadelphia. Two men are now in police custody after sustaining gunshot wounds. First responders found a 44-year-old man on the road at the 2400 block of North Marshall Street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Temple University Hospital and listed as stable. The second victim, aged 41, walked into Temple University Hospital with a gunshot wound to his armpit and is currently listed in critical condition.
Officials have reported that no weapons were recovered from either scene, and no arrests have been made in connection with the first shooting. The Shooting Investigation Group is actively probing both incidents.
