Detroit, Michigan – The NFL, in collaboration with the City of Detroit, unveils plans for the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft in Downtown Detroit this April.
Event Details and Venue
- Free Admission: All three days of the NFL Draft will be open to the public at no cost.
- Expansive Venue: Spanning from Cadillac Square to Hart Plaza, the event will cover Cadillac Square, Campus Martius, Woodward Ave., and Hart Plaza.
- Draft Stage and Experience: The draft stage will be located near Cadillac Square, while the NFL Draft Experience will be hosted at Hart Plaza.
Schedule Highlights
- Thursday, April 25 (Round 1): Gates open at 12 p.m., with the draft experience and pre-show starting simultaneously. The draft theater opens at 8 p.m. and concludes at 11 p.m.
- Friday, April 26 (Rounds 2-3): Gates open at 12 p.m., with similar timing for the draft experience and pre-show. The draft theater opens at 7 p.m. and closes at 11 p.m.
- Saturday, April 27 (Rounds 4-7): Gates open at 9 a.m., with activities starting at the same time. The draft theater opens at 12 p.m. and concludes at 7 p.m.
Construction Timeline
- Preparation: Load-in and theater structure construction begin at the end of the month.
- Draft Setup: Construction in various areas of the draft commences on April 8 and April 15.
- Road Closure: Woodward Ave. will be closed starting April 22, as announced by the NFL.

- Additional Events: Beyond the draft, Downtown Detroit will host numerous events across Capitol Park, Grand Circus Park, Beacon Park, and more, providing diverse viewing opportunities and activities for attendees.
