Encouraging news awaits some subway users as the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) has slated regular service restoration for the F and M lines. Scheduled to commence on Monday at 5 a.m., this initiative aims to alleviate some of the disruptions experienced by passengers.
Weekend Service Alterations
What Changes to Expect?
During the weekend, commuters should brace for a series of service alterations:
- The shuttle train will conclude its service at 11:45 p.m. on Friday.
- To bridge the gap, complimentary shuttle buses will operate between Roosevelt Island, 21 St-Queensbridge, and Queens Plaza from 11:30 p.m. on Friday until 5 a.m. on Monday.
- Trains will maintain operations on the line between 47-50 Sts-Rockefeller Center and Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av until 5 a.m. on Monday.
- Additionally, trains will run between 57 St and Middle Village-Metropolitan Av from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays through Friday.
Following these adjustments, regular weekday service is set to resume on Monday, offering commuters a semblance of normalcy during their daily travels.
