A counterfeit Amazon delivery vehicle intercepted in Missouri has unveiled a clandestine marijuana cultivation facility in south-central Oklahoma, according to the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN).

Discovery and Investigation

The OBN disclosed that they executed a search warrant at Bright Stones LLC in Lindsay, Oklahoma, following a tip-off from the Missouri State Police. The illicit operation came to light after the Missouri authorities halted a bogus Amazon van for multiple traffic infractions as it crossed into Missouri from the Oklahoma border.

Mark Woodward, a spokesperson for OBN, revealed that a search of the van exposed 246 pounds of packaged marijuana, freshly collected from the Lindsay location. Woodward emphasized that Bright Stones LLC had acquired its license through fraudulent means, employing a ‘straw ownership’ tactic. The focal point of the probe has been identified as having ties to numerous other illegal marijuana enterprises across Oklahoma.

Enforcement Action

In a decisive move, OBN agents seized nearly 10,000 marijuana plants and 215 pounds of processed marijuana from the Bright Stones LLC premises. Legal actions against the perpetrators are pending as the investigation continues to unfold.

Since the year 2021, the OBN has been actively dismantling illicit marijuana cultivation sites across Oklahoma. With a resolute stance against black-market activities, the bureau has shuttered over 3,000 illegal grow operations, signaling a robust enforcement strategy in combating drug-related offenses.
