HILLSBORO, Ore. – The Hillsboro Police Department is actively investigating a tragic hit-and-run incident that occurred on Thursday night, resulting in the death of a pedestrian.

Just before 10 p.m. on Thursday, law enforcement officers rushed to Southeast Cypress Street and Southeast Tualatin Valley Highway in response to a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. Sadly, upon arrival, authorities discovered the lifeless body of a man at the scene. At present, the identity of the victim has not been disclosed by the authorities.

The driver responsible for the collision fled the scene promptly after the incident and remains at large. As of now, the Hillsboro Police Department has not provided any description of the suspect or the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run.
