PONTIAC, Mich. – A 55-year-old Pontiac man has been apprehended in connection with a fatal shooting following an altercation between motorcycle club members, according to authorities.
Arrest and Victim Identification
The suspect was arrested at a local motel early Wednesday morning, accused of the death of Charlie Isaac Odneal, 42, also from Pontiac. Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard commended law enforcement’s swift action in apprehending the suspect.
Incident Details
Deputies responded to a 911 call at the Night Riders Motorcycle Club in Pontiac, where they discovered Odneal had been transported to a nearby hospital by private vehicle. Despite efforts to save him, Odneal succumbed to his injuries shortly after 5 a.m.
Investigation Progress
Sheriff’s detectives, aided by a special agent from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), determined that the shooting stemmed from a heated argument within the motorcycle club.
Legal Proceedings
The case is slated to be presented to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office for potential charges, with Friday earmarked as the earliest timeline for the presentation.
