Houston, Texas – One man was killed and another critically injured in a targeted shooting at a gas station in southeast Houston, according to police reports. The incident took place around 7 p.m. on S Wayside Drive near Telephone Road and the Gulf Freeway.

Surveillance Footage Reveals Suspects

Police released surveillance photos showing the individuals believed to be responsible for the fatal shooting. The footage captured two vehicles, a gray four-door Dodge Charger and a gray four-door Mercedes sedan, pulling up near a black Cadillac Escalade parked at the gas station.

Shooting Occurs After Shopping Trip

The victims, four individuals in the Escalade, had just returned from shopping when the suspects approached. Each of the suspect vehicles reportedly had two gunmen armed with long rifles. Upon arrival, all four gunmen exited their vehicles and opened fire on the Escalade, leaving it riddled with bullet holes.

Victims Sustain Gunshot Wounds

Two occupants of the Escalade, aged 34 and 29, were shot during the incident. Sadly, the 34-year-old victim succumbed to his injuries, while the 29-year-old was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

Suspects Remain at Large

After the shooting, the suspects fled the scene in their vehicles and were last seen driving on Telephone Road. As of Monday night, law enforcement authorities have yet to apprehend them.

Investigation Underway

Houston Police Assistant Chief Adrian Rodriguez stated, I do believe that these individuals and the Escalade were targeted. Homicide detectives are actively investigating the incident and are seeking information from witnesses. The suspects, described as all men, were dressed similarly, with three wearing white shirts and white pants, and the fourth wearing a white shirt with black pants.
