Clarksville, Tenn. – A homicide investigation is underway following the discovery of a Fort Campbell soldier’s body inside a residence on Tiny Town Road.
Identity Confirmed
The deceased, identified as 23-year-old Katia Duenas Aguilar from Mesquite, Texas, was found within the residence. Duenas was stationed at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, serving as a member of the division’s Combat Aviation Brigade, as confirmed by the 101st Airborne Division.
Military Background
Pfc. Duenas-Aguilar joined the active-duty army in 2018, specializing as an Information Technology Specialist. After completing basic combat training and advanced individual training at Fort Eisenhower in Georgia, she reported to Fort Campbell in 2019.

Throughout her service, Pfc. Duenas-Aguilar received commendations including two Army Achievement Medals, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Army Service Ribbon.
