Several roads are blocked as crews battle a grass fire in Southwest Miami-Dade, Florida. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units responded to the scene near Southwest 117th Avenue and 232nd Street after 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Miami-Dade Police have implemented road closures from Southwest 220th Street to 228th Street and from Southwest 115th Avenue to Southwest 117th Avenue while firefighters work to contain the fire. To aid in the efforts, the Florida Forest Service deployed half-track bombardiers, enabling them to apply water from a close range.

Aerial footage captured by 7Skyforce reveals crews confronting heavy smoke and flames. Despite their efforts, as of 6 p.m., firefighters were still on the scene, grappling with the remaining blazes. Complicating matters, strong winds in the area are exacerbating the situation.

While there have been no reports of injuries at this time, officials are cautioning individuals with respiratory conditions to remain indoors. The cause of the fire remains undetermined.
