Albemarle, N.C. (Queen City News) — A Greensboro man, Elijohua Trevon Mason, finds himself behind bars in Stanly County facing a $1.5 million bond after law enforcement officials discovered a significant amount of illicit drugs during a routine traffic stop.
Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Discovery
Stanly County Sheriff deputies intercepted Mason’s vehicle on Mountain Creek Road on Sunday evening. Upon conducting a search, authorities uncovered over 170 grams of fentanyl, a potent synthetic opioid known for its high potency and risk of overdose.

In addition to the substantial quantity of fentanyl, Mason was also found to be in possession of a handgun and marijuana at the time of the traffic stop, further compounding the charges against him.
