Long Beach, California – A homeless man, Job Jesse Villegas, has been apprehended for assaulting two women with a metal pipe in Long Beach earlier this year, authorities revealed on Friday.

Villegas, taken into custody on May 13, is facing charges including assault with a deadly weapon, battery, trespassing, and prior warrants.

The attacks occurred on the morning of January 4. The initial assault transpired just before 10 a.m. near the intersection of 21st Street and Locust Avenue in Long Beach. Villegas was captured on home surveillance footage approaching a woman pushing a baby in a stroller and striking her with a metal pipe.
Shortly after, another attack unfolded near 21st and Pine Avenue. In this incident, a 60-year-old woman was struck in the head with a metal pipe from behind.

Presently, Villegas is being held on $710,000 bail as the investigation by the Long Beach Police Department continues.
