Residents of the Enclave at Lake Pointe apartment complex in Humble, Texas, are voicing growing frustration over what they perceive as neglect and a lack of response to their concerns. Residents’ Frustrations Mount

The discontent among residents of the Enclave at Lake Pointe stems from a variety of issues, ranging from maintenance neglect to safety concerns. Naomi Long-Williams, a resident, expressed her frustration, stating, It’s forcing me to move. I’m on my way out. Another resident, Frida MacBride, echoed these sentiments, saying, I’m just tired. I’m tired of talking and nothing’s being done.

MacBride, who suffers from multiple medical conditions and has endured two heart attacks, highlighted the presence of mold in her apartment. Despite her complaints to management, she claims they dismissed her concerns, attributing the mold to dirt. This dismissal reflects a broader pattern of neglect reported by numerous tenants.

Safety Concerns Amplify Discontent

In addition to maintenance issues, residents are alarmed by safety lapses within the complex. Margie Butler, one resident, voiced her apprehension, stating, Vandalizing of vehicles and broken cars, strange people walking in here, we have gates, no security, and I’m very concerned about that.

The sense of insecurity is heightened by the demographic makeup of the community, which comprises many elderly individuals with disabilities or underlying medical conditions. Given these vulnerabilities, residents are considering legal action if their grievances remain unaddressed.
