On Saturday, May 4, 2024, 36-year-old Asa Hashanna Adams, a resident at the Topeka Correctional Facility (TCF), was discovered unresponsive in her living unit. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by staff and emergency medical services, Adams was pronounced deceased by medical personnel.
