LEVITTOWN, Pa. – Bucks County officials have provided further details surrounding the murder of Michael Mohn and the charges against his son, Justin Mohn. The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office revealed a clearer picture of the events leading to the death and beheading of Michael Mohn, as well as the subsequent charges against Justin Mohn, 32, who stands accused of the gruesome act.
Circumstances of the Murder
Michael Mohn was fatally shot and decapitated inside his Levittown home on the 100 block of Upper Orchard Drive on January 30. Justin Mohn faces charges of first-degree murder, possession of an instrument of crime, and abuse of corpse in connection with his father’s death.
During the investigation, authorities learned that Justin fled the scene in his father’s car. Additionally, a 14-minute video posted on YouTube showed Justin holding his father’s head and making threatening statements.
Additional Charges
On Thursday morning, the Bucks County District Attorney’s office filed additional charges against Justin Mohn. These include three counts of terrorism, two additional counts of possession of an instrument of crime, one count of robbery, and several theft and threat-related offenses.
In the disturbing YouTube video, Justin called for the killing of federal employees and named specific officials, as well as providing the name and address of a U.S. District Court Judge.
Arrest and Further Allegations
Justin Mohn was tracked to the National Guard Training Center in Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania, where he was apprehended after allegedly climbing a barbed wire fence. Authorities claim Mohn attempted to ‘mobilize’ the National Guard against the federal government.
During his arrest, Justin was allegedly in possession of a 9mm pistol and a flash drive containing photos of federal buildings and instructions for making an explosive device.
