Kentucky voters are gearing up for the May Primary elections, with various key races drawing attention across the state. Here’s what’s on the ballot:

Louisville’s Contested Races

In Louisville, the focus is on several pivotal races, including those for Metro Council, U.S. Congressional Districts, and Kentucky Legislative positions.

U.S. Congressional Districts

• District 2: Democrats Hank Linderman and William Compton vie for the nomination to challenge incumbent Congressman Brett Guthrie in November.
• District 3: Democratic incumbent Morgan McGarvey faces challenges from Geoffrey Young and Jared Randell. The Democratic victor will compete against either Dennis Ormerod or Mike Craven, winners of the Republican race.
• District 4: Republican incumbent Rep. Thomas Massie contends with Michael McGinnis and Eric Deters.
• District 5: U.S. Rep. Hal Rogers seeks reelection against Dana Edwards, Brandon Monhollen, and David Kraftchak.
• District 6: Republican incumbent U.S. Rep. Andy Barr runs unopposed in the primary, while five Democrats compete for the nomination.
