San Antonio, Texas – A knife-wielding duo was apprehended by authorities following an attempted carjacking on the Southwest side. The incident occurred near the 2800 block of West Hutchins Place around 8 p.m. on Friday night, as reported by the San Antonio Police Department.

Attempted Carjacking and Arrest

A 28-year-old man became the target of the carjackers, who brandished a knife during the theft of his vehicle. The victim reported the incident to the authorities, prompting a swift response from law enforcement.

Police Response and Apprehension

Upon receiving the report, police officers swiftly mobilized to locate the suspects. Despite the culprits fleeing the scene, officers conducted an extensive search, utilizing resources such as the police helicopter.

The search ultimately led to the discovery of the victim’s abandoned car. Shortly thereafter, the suspects, identified as Marcelino Moreno, 18, and Robert Frink, 23, were found walking along the Southwest Loop 410 access road, away from the stolen vehicle.

Following their apprehension, both suspects were detained and charged with Aggravated Robbery. The prompt response and diligent efforts of law enforcement led to the successful arrest of the perpetrators.
