LAS VEGAS — The Animal Foundation is facing a critical situation with overcrowding after receiving 338 animals in just two days, including 38 dogs from a single residence. This influx has exacerbated an ongoing space crisis at the shelter, which has struggled with capacity in recent months.

Emergency kennels have been hastily established at The Animal Foundation to accommodate the surge of animals. The crisis reached a peak when Clark County Animal Protection Services intervened, transporting additional dogs from a puppy mill discovered during a Henderson Police Department operation near Lake Mead and Lamb Boulevard.

Hilarie Grey, speaking at a press conference, highlighted the gravity of the situation, noting that over 1,000 animals have arrived at the shelter in the past 12 days alone.
