PANTEGO, Texas – A lightning strike ignited a blaze at an Arlington home on Saturday morning, prompting a swift response from local firefighters. Michael Merrell recounted the harrowing experience, noting that his wife and three children were inside the residence when the incident occurred.

Saw the lightning. Heard a really big boom and it kind of rattled the house a little bit. It was probably the loudest I ever heard any lightning, Merrell described the startling moment.
