From Homelessness to the Basketball Court

Alongside his mother, brother, and sister, he endured periods of homelessness, often living out of their car or in shelters for four years. Despite these challenges, he discovered his passion for basketball during his senior year at Long Beach Polytechnic High School.

Recognition and Support

During the NCAA championship weekend, Armstead traveled from Nashville to Arizona to accept his award. In a touching gesture, he brought along his younger brother, Marcus Armstead, as his guest.
