A man has been arrested and is facing multiple charges following a high-speed chase in Kings County, California. According to the Kings County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred on April 11th around 7:45 a.m. when a deputy attempted to pull over a motorcyclist near the intersection of Hanford Armona Road and 12th Avenue in Hanford.
High-Speed Pursuit
The motorcyclist, identified as Jordan Battle, reportedly refused to stop and instead fled from law enforcement. This prompted a pursuit involving deputies from the Kings County Sheriff’s Office, including assistance from the Sheriff’s Office Airplane (Air-1). The chase spanned through Armona, Lemoore, and back to Hanford, covering a significant distance.
Suspect Apprehended
The pursuit came to an end when Battle stopped at a residence located off Hartley Drive. He then attempted to evade capture by hiding the motorcycle in the garage and fleeing inside the house. However, deputies successfully located and apprehended Battle after approximately 30 minutes.
Charges and Bail
Following his arrest, Battle was transported to the Kings County Jail. He faces charges including evading a peace officer, evading a police officer by driving in the wrong lane of traffic, and obstructing/delaying a peace officer in the performance of their duties. Bail was set at $75,000, which Battle later posted to secure his release pending further legal proceedings.
