Santee, California – A man, identified as 31-year-old Vincent Alcaraz, was apprehended and now faces multiple charges subsequent to an extensive SWAT standoff in Santee, as announced by the San Diego Sheriff’s Department (SDSO) on Friday afternoon.

Vincent Alcaraz has been charged with criminal threats, false imprisonment, and an outstanding felony warrant, according to a spokesperson from the SDSO. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries during the incident, which lasted several hours.
Initial Reports and Response
The SDSO received a distress call at 2:25 a.m. on Friday, reporting an unspecified trouble in the 8600 block of Fanita Drive, close to Prospect Drive in Santee. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered a man and a woman barricaded inside an apartment, unresponsive to attempts at communication.

By 8 a.m., the scene was surrounded by members of the SWAT team and deputies, with the apartment building’s parking lot cordoned off with crime scene tape. The standoff persisted until approximately 10:21 a.m., when Alcaraz was taken into custody, marking the conclusion of the ordeal.
